Proud to be Jayesh Iyer 's friend

Today I am feeling very happy and proud to be friend of Jayesh Iyer. He is a person of strong integrity and ethics. He is able to keep his standards high be it a stressful or lucrative environment. Without going much deep, I would like to mention that today he displayed a act of high ethics and honesty. Anyone else in his place, would have forgotten about all the ethical values and honesty, but he was able to keep his head clear and took a right decision.
He calls me "Thakur" or head of the family with respect and i call him "Jai". He proved that he is a real Jai (a person who can conquer his senses). Good going buddy.
I know that your decision today may cost you very much in short term but in the long term, you will feel more happy and satisfied.
All the best.

Brother's dispute

I remember the old Indian Movies which you used to have a common theme... a poor family which is tortured and broken by some rich and bad people; two brothers work together hard to get the family out of the trouble and when they are becoming successful, some crooked person will spoil their mind with ill ideas like if you get separated you will be more rich and happy. As a result they start fighting each other and finally they are spearate. They become the worst enemies and the whole family suffers. Even the neighbours suffer due to their dispute. But being a movie, we know that there has to be a happy ending. Either the mother or father or some family member will be in trouble (either sick or kidnapped or tortured) and both brother will again join hands to save their life. After this they live happily ever after.
When I try to analyse the dispute between India and Pakistan, I get the same message. They are two brothers who fought with Britishers together to liberate this country but as they were nearing the freedom, some selfish people spoiled their mind (politicians and the rulers). They had a deadly fight and they got separated thinking that they will be more successful and happy separately. But thats not happened. They keep fighting each other for past 60 years and no one is happy. There are terrorist gorups who are troubling both the nations and misusing them against each other. Its the time, when leaders of both countries should realise that United We stand. We can make the Indian Subcontinent (india + pakistan + bangladesh) the successful tri-nation if we all work together. We need to start believing in each other and stop the ill intentions. People of these countries are suffering and they are looking towards their leaders to answer them. Its the time fanatic people should think what they achieved in past 60 years. They are divided and poor. There are so many people who are not even able to manage their meals. Lets all unite together to curb the issue of poverty. Terrorism is not the solution to the problems. Only trust and faith can help us. I hope to see the Happy Ending during my life time. Can I???

Fanaa - Review

Yesterday I got chance to rent the DVD of Fanaa (starring Aamir Khan and Kajol). I would say that Yash Raj films had shot this film in the beautiful location in India (near Udhampur). There were some great shots. All together a good film but it would have been better if we would have been:
1. Why did Kajol fall in love with Aamir in Delhi? What characteristics impressed her?
2. Why was Indian Intelligence not able to trace Aamir and what was the role of Tabu? Her entry in the movie was shown with a stong appearance but i was not impressed at all with her role.
3. They would have shot the movie with some more better angles which would have made this movie magnificient.
4. Ending was good but lacked curiousity and suspense.
Not bad at all to watch the movie. Good time pass. I would rate 3 /5.

Madhubani - small village in Bihar

Lets talk about Madhubani. This is the village where i was born and spent my initial 5 years of childhood. It has its own charm and peace which i miss a lot. So let me share some of the memories.
Our house in Madhubani.

Village Goddess (devi-ji). Everyone has got such a deep belief in Devi-ji that we don't start any activity without offering that to Devi ji and she always fulfills our requests.

Kids taking buffaloes to feed and bath them.

Bamboo trees in the village. You can see lot of bamboo trees grown in my village area. They are used for building houses, furnitures and fuel for stove.

Devi-ji again.

Cow has just finished her lunch.

Maithili - the sweet language

My native language is Maithili which is now official Indian language after inclusion in Eight schedule of Indian constituition. Maithili language is mainly spoken in Bihar and Nepal. Maithili has its own script - Mithilakshar (also called as Tirhuta). The script is extremely similar to the Bengali script, as they both evolved simultaneously as regional variants of the Eastern Nagari script. Most speakers in Mithila region use the Devanagari script which is used for Hindi.
The name Maithili comes from Mithila which was an independent state in earlier Indian History. It has a large Maithili-speaking community (4.5 crore people) with a rich literature. Poet Vidyapati is the most famous literary figure in Maithili. He lived during the period of 1350 to 1450. He wrote many poems of bhakti (mainly shiva) and Shringar in Maithili. He is credited for raising the importance of Maithili which was widely spoken by the people, in the official work of the state by influencing the Maharaja of Darbhanga with the quality of his poetry. Prior to this state's official language used to be Sanskrit, which distanced common people from the state and its functions.
