Trip to Silver Falls
Last sunday we went to Silver Falls National Park in Salem, Oregon. The park was amazingly beautiful. Its a trail of 10 beautiful falls. We reached around noon and spent an hour in the picnic area of south falls. Naman, Sandhya and I walked down the South Falls waterfall. It was really amazing to walk behind the waterfalls.

We spent an hour at this fall. The water was very cold and the depth was not much. So we walked for a while in the waterfall.
Later we drove to North Falls. We were very tired.

We all had a great time. We were so tired after all the walking that we just headed back to home and didn't stop even anywhere on the way.

Naman Vikas Mishra - Again
Here are some of Naman's recent photos. Left side photo is near Crater Lake, Oregon. We went to this place in April 2006 and you can see so much snow is everywhere. Everything was closed.

Anuradha Paudwal's songs still rocks
I happen to hear a song "Thi meri dastan" from movie Kalyug and kept on thinking of the name of the lady singer with such a sweet voice. I thought I know this voice but was not able to recollect it. When i checked the CD box, i came to realise that she is the yester year's melodious queen - "Anuradha Paudwal".
God, I was thinking... where was she all these days. She is lost in the crowd after the demise of Gulshan Kumar. But I am happy that she is getting some songs to sing... even if it is with new comers.
Amit Sana was also good. He took me by surprise. I really liked his song however, he needs to concentrate more on his voice control. Sometimes, i feel that his voice is breaking. (Its just my jumble opinion).
Talking about Kalyug, i think Rahat Fateh ali Khan is graciously carrying forward Nusrat fateh Ali khan's legacy. Way to go ... all the best.
Indian History
Well, I was watching History channel and they were showing about Aliens and also about the lost city "Atlantis". While watching these stories, my childhood memories got renewed and i started thinking about "Vishnu Purans", "Shiv Purnas", "Mahabharata" and "Ramayana". I started wondering if these historical documents have anything to do with the Aliens visits to earth? Are these pre-ice age historical documents? I am believe that these must be true events coated with Writers own imagination as well. So what happened to these legacies. How we lost all those technologies when we had various weapons used in all the above historical works? What made people forget about all those technologies? Why was ancient India (which is recorded) not having any of these legacies? Why are there no evidences that these things happened?
These documents indicate that we knew about solar system, we knew space travel (Narada and other Gods), we also know that Vishwamitra made a Space Station where he placed King Trishanku to show his power to Gods. We know that Ravana and other Asuras fought with God in space. What happened to these technologies? Where they kept so secretly that they were lost over generation to generation.
I tend to think that these events may not be pre-ice-age events as Ice Age happens after completion of Yuga cycle. We are still in Kalyuga and all these events happened in Treta and Dwapar Yuga.
Who will uncover these mysteries? Why we don't know about our own history?
Evenif we assume that these are mythological stories, why there is no effort made to find the root of these mythological stories. In the foreign countries, they are trying to find "Atlantis" which is still a myth. Egypt was a myth till it was discovered?
We do know about bridge between India and Srilanka (Created by Ram's army). Why there is not much research done to date these stones and find the timelines and see if it matches with timelines published in Ramayana.
Indian Tolerance
7/11/2006-> They did it again in Mumbai (200 innocent Indians were killed in bomb explosions in India).
I don't know how long we will keep tolerating the terrorism in our country. Every day there are so many innocent people who are killed by the terrorist. If India has to succeed , we need to first fix the terrorism issue. Its a bad mark on the governance and effects government functioning, raises unrest and a huge financial and moral damage. Think of the plight of the families who loose their beloved ones due to these terror activities. It looks like as Indian, we are too much tolerant and try to forget the wounds (thats why Gauri and Gaznavi invaded us and looted us, Moghuls ruled us for more than 300 years and Britishers ruled us for more than 200 years... and now these terrorists are threat to unity and integrity of our country).
Simply blaming other countries and people for these activities will not help us. Why should any other country in world listen to our issue and help us. Even God don't help the people who can not help them. We need to help ourself and fix this issue.
As an immediate action, our military and police should be given enough power to fight with terrorists. They should be given enough freedom so that they can act fast and control this.
Secondly we should be collecting the intelligence report and publish to the United Nations and other Organisations to prove if the other countries are supporting terrorism against India.
Thirdly, we should enable the social work and government bodies to understand the root cause for the unrest among our fellow citizens. What makes them help terrorists? How can we improve their living conditions so that they can feel connected to the mainstream? What we can do to improve the environment in our country? Is job an issue or social justice the issue?
We need to act fast as Time is RUNNING Out for our country.
Dejavu - Dream or reality?
Many times when I am talking to someone, I sense that this event has already happened and I exactly know what will be the next sequence of discussions. I already know the response of the person, who will come and join the meeting and at what time this meeting will get over. This is really weird. Today also same thing. I was talking to a colleague of mine and i exactly know where the discussion will go, what exactly will be his and mine response and how we will close this.
Also, when i got up today, I rememberd my dream that as soon as i open my laptop, i will have a discussion with my colleague and how it will end. And then, exactly same thing happened. He is based in Bangalore and he sent me a meeting request early in morning. I talked to him and i kne exactly what the outcome will be. Weird!!
This reminds me of some weird things which i faced when i was doing my engineering. After completing our semester exams, we used to go to our hometown in vaccation. Our results used to be declared after we used to come back from vaccation. Many times, i would get dream about the exam results (not my score but for my friends). I used to see their marks. I used to keep it with me but i used to note it down in my notebook. When i go back to college, i used to check the results and to my great surprise, i used to find them matching exactly. Not even an error of 1 or 2 marks. Weird!!!
Not sure, if its only me who gets this weird dreams or there are other people as well.
